FF12

I know that this question has been asked about a billion times before, but what I find doesn't help me. Whenever I boot FF12, I get around 38FPS on the "New Game / Load Game" Menu, and in game I get around 12, making it unplayable.

I have no idea how to efficiently configure PCSX2, at all, so please, treat me like a noob.

PC specs? PCSX2 settings? Plugin settings? What do the EE/GS% numbers in game window say when you get slowdowns?
