And one more thing: if you play the PAL version of FFX or FFX-2, do not change the window aspect ratio to 16:9 (or TV aspect ratio if you play on PS2). It does not help fit the game to the screen. All you get are even more fat characters.

Also of note, if you pause during the FMV then resume, the bar will be gone.
