FFX FPS problem

Hey I am a little new to PCSX2, I have gotten FFX to work however I am having some fps problems. Opening sequence runs at 50-60 fps, throughout the game it runs from 55 fps and more than often it drops to 35-40. Any help would be appreciated

My computer specs are

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5400+ 2.802 Ghz
Windows XP 32bit
2gb ram
Nvidia 8600 GTS 256mb ssc edition

Im using the latest 0.9.6 im using gsdx890 sse2 0.1.14.
Playing in windowed mode
Direct3d9 Hardware
3.0 shaders
no interlacing
16:9 aspect ratio
1025 x 1025 D3D Internal Res
Nloop, texture filtering, Log Z, Alpha correct all enabled
Im running the game directly from the Iso.

I dont know if the game is PAL or NTSC but im running a US Bios. Is there a way to check if the game im running is PAL or NTSC?

Maybe my CPU isn't strong enough to run it?

LOL. Yeah uh. Anyway, I was under the impression that it did not matter because the pcxs2 was regionless itself.

Yea nvm its NTSC lol, I remember seeing somewhere that if you dont run the regional bios with the game than it could cause problems.

gsdx890 sse2 0.1.14. is too old .GSDX1300+ improve speed more than 20% in FFX!!
My U is 4400+.I can get more than 60 FPS!!!

Im trying my puny(for pcsx2) laptop for FFX and i have FPS probs allright. You should definitely upgrade the graphics plugin. Also isn't your card Dx10 capable. Use it.

I found it ......don't limit FPS..like the pic...
I can get 60+fps!!
