Yeah, we already know the ffx menu is slow with it.
Now if you could test a few dozen other games, I'm sure you'll find they all get faster (with 8bit textures on).

Uhm 8-bit has never been faster for me except for Wild Arms 3 and just for like 2-3fps, the rest has always have more slowdowns (most are associated with texture filtering enabled with 8-bit textures at the same time even when just greyed but I prefer having texture filtering) and small gitches actually so I just turn it off always :x
Oh but it's definitelly faster with texture filtering off at least here.

Huh, I don't get any performance difference when having 8-bit textures enabled and having texture filtering enabled as well, at least in Dragon Quest VIII. And yes, I realize that most games run better with 8-bit enabled (dragon quest gets around a 10 fps boost in some parts with it on). I guess I was more or less pointing out that even though zero29 got 30fps with the same speed as my graphic card, the extra vram got me a 60fps boost compared to him. So I guess the more vram, and lesser impact 8-bit enabled will have on performance?
