FFX Pal-E Widescreen patch doesn't work
#11
I'm still a little confused. So the game IS in widescreen on your monitor?

If you want to take screencaps in 16:9, you can use Fraps (it's what I do).

Or just PrtScn your desktop.

It seems 16:9, alright, but the ws patch doesn't seem to work, right ?

It's clearly working. This is what the patch is supposed to do:

That Fraps pic you uploaded doesn't look stretched at all, Tidus doesn't look fat/wide or anything.

What aspect ratio/resolution is your monitor?

16:9? 16:10? 21:9?

widescreen patches only stretch the 3d elements while the 2d ones like the UI stay 4:3. I think that is what is going on. AKA while in menus they are going to be stretched becuase the widescreen patch does not work on them only the 3d stuff.

This is an indoor situation, where all is suddenly stretched. Outdoor, it seems ok, as you said. But still, what is happening inside shops and houses ??

What you show is a pre-rendered picture.
It will be stretched.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

No no, it was made with Fraps. Like the previous one.

Outdoor = ok
Indoor = stretched
