and i have build this pc myself yes. its just driving me crazy- i cannot play ffx more than 10 min~~!~!~~ can it be that this disc is corrupted- shall i try another game? or it must be a hardware problem?

As far as I know that's a solid PSU, so I wouldn't think that would cause any issues. Can I ask why you went with such a high wattage?
As someone else mentioned, it's doubtful that pcsx would hang your entire computer regardless of the game. Are you doing any overclocking on your PC?

LOL, who told you that?
the Ultra series of PSU's are firework canisters. http://forums.anandtech.com/archive/inde...39041.html enjoy your electric bombs.
I have EXACTLY the same problem on my laptop.
Acer Aspire 5750G with the specs in my signature. Everything else is working fine. I found out that the freezes might only happen when using the AVX plugin of GSdx or the MSAA option in the gsdx.ini. After using SSE4 and FXAA only, the game works pretty well even after hours. And it didn't locked up completely, it shutted down after pressing the power button.. weird. edit: might really be the MSAA option. The AVX version of GSdx works well. I've never used that brand, so I don't speak from any personal experience. (Just as I'm sure you've never personally owned one either.) If you want reputable forums and reviews concerning computer hardware, http://tomshardware.com is basically geek central. And I haven't come across any firebomb stories there

well from looking here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...No=4558889&CatId=2535
The reviews seem to be a mixed bag, some people are happy, but its slightly alarming that there are a few people mentioning games randomly crashing their system and "arcing electricity", certainly not a brand i would trust. Plus a silver 80 plus rating is a bit, erfff, it means they have put little effort in to making this power supply work well, which the price tag doesnt really justify (youd expect to pay the prices they want for a gold rated psu) and 76Amps (920w) down a single rail, seriously? Sorry to rag on your PSU monster, but with specs like that, i would be more inclined to say its a bit of a fire cracker myself, just from the sheer corner cutting going on. Stick with decent brands like OCZ, Corsair, Be Quiet, Seasonic/PC Power & Cooling etc
