FFX menu text issue when upscaled

Yeah, the side effect reduced only a little when using Scaling at 2x Native instead of 1024x1024 by default, tested Direct3D9 (Hardware).

Yeah this is one of common questions that is not included in some FAQ.

Look at the "Dirty" Textures issue in the unoffical wiki besides of the many many many threads about the same issue:
http://pcsx2.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_X

It's not like it's not known, or that it isn't there, for example we have a FAQ sticky with "I've seen my game running full speed on YouTube, why do i get low FPS?", "My settings are not being saved / Error creating memcard / Failed to copy file etc" and yet we get the same threads about them over and over, it's not that the info is not available, it's that people don't search (or at least not enough).

Guess the problem's pretty common then, I'll post the picture in GSdx's thread, maybe I'll get lucky and Gabest does something about it lol Tongue

@Shadow Lady, since you're an old member here I do understand how frustrating it can be to see the same questions being asked again and again, I do try to do some searching before asking questions, but the amount of information for a newbie could be overwhelming and what I fear the most is that I might end up getting an answer that's considered outdated (i.e if the problem in that wiki page has been fixed but it's updated there yet).

I still think a simple Q&A sticky could help reduce the amount of new topics created, some simple questions just require a fast quick answer.

Not really, I meant a general stickied thread where people could ask a quick question in it (i.e if it's not included in that FAQ you posted) and others would come in and post an answer for it.

So... like this? Tongue

http://pcsx2.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_X

A single sticky wouldn't really help with all the different small glitches in all different games, it would make a rather huge thread people wouldn't even read. For example we have a huge "Gran Turismo 4" thread with all possible info and tips on it and... people doesn't really read it cause it's so large they just come and make a new post in the thread asking for the same again and again... all a thread like that would do is avoid a new thread but still the same questions over and over).
Now that if the people would read/use the unofficial wiki, all the tips would be better organized and accessible but still we will keep seeing the same threads and doubts over and over unless the glitches/bugs get fixed finally (prolly not gonna happen anytime soon Tongue2).

I'll be using that for sure, it's just that I tried searching through some of the games there (the ones that I play at least lol) and none seem to have nearly as much info as the FFX wiki page, they're high profile games as well (FFXII, MGS3, SoTC..etc).

Also, it would have really helped a lot if we were able to see the date a specific article was added or edited (unless you gotta have an account to see that, don't have one there), so we'd have an idea about how long it's been since that bug was mentioned and the possibility that there could be a solution for it by now.

Most of the issues on the FFX page are really old ones and most (if not all) are fixed. The FFX page hasn't actually been edited since July 14, 2010. ( http://pcsx2.shoutwiki.com/w/index.php?t...on=history )

As for the other pages not having enough data, that's because users contribute to the wikipedial; it would be incredibly helpful if you went and edited it with the experiences you get from testing your games.

I'll try to contribute as much as I can once I started playing the games (currently looking for a good GPU). Thanks for the history link, now I can see how old the updates were done to have an idea about whether they could possibly be fixed by now or not.

Edit: How about adding a wiki PCSX2 game updates sticky in this forum purely for adding updates about additions to PCSX2 emulated games (i.e not about the wiki itself)? I found this:

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PCSX2-wik...light=wiki

But I don't think that's a good place to post updates about PCSX2 games, it seems like the thread is inactive in that board, a wiki update thread in the "general discussions" sub-forum could encourage people to actually read the wiki and more people would chime in and contribute.

the "Recent changes" link http://pcsx2.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Special:RecentChanges from left vertical side bar at wiki including game updates in that wiki. And click the "diff" link in the front of each changes for details.

I think that wiki related feature only won't add in this forum. people should consult changes/updates from wiki.
