FFx lags so bad

Hello, my system speccs are Nivida GTX 260, 4gb ram , Intel core quad core 6700 2,66GHz win 7 64bit.
Its mostly when i run around exploring... It lags so bad that even the sounds lags...
I do not lag during cinematics.
please help.

Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66 GHz. Try overclocking or enabling some speedhacks.

Cinematics are just as hard to watch as a regular AVI file.

2.6ghz isn't very fast, i was running 4.0ghz. PCSX2 only uses two cores, so a core 2 duo at 4.0ghz is much better than a quad at 2.6.
At the very least enable wait loop detection.
