FMV's in FFX

The fix is still included as it might help other games. Although most fixes were implemented for one game in particular, you find some of them have a positive effect on other games too.

However, as noted, sometimes the game is not identified (because it doesn't appear at the DB or because your DVD has another serial number for some reason).

You could check out GamesIndex.dbf at the same directory as pcsx2 (open it with notepad), and see if the serial number at the dbf file matches the serial on the emulator console when you boot the game, and if that serial number has a fix at the dbf file.

If something doesn't match, let us know and we'll update the DB.

Thanks.

Sorry been away for a while, real life has sucked as of late.

To answer this, my serial in the DBF file is SLUS20313 and the serial in the console window is SLUS_203.12;1.

Would this affect the FMV strobing effect that I'm still getting? Seems that any fix that I may have tried seems to have reverted itself.

have you tried manually ticking the "FFX videos fix" gamefix?
