FPS Issues

I'm going to follow the tutorial again, and see if it yields different results, just in case I missed anything.

Will post back with my results.

Also, what do you mean trying it at 256x256? What option is that under?

That's what I was thinking. About to go and fix everything.

Also, why shouldn't I max out the speed hacks to 3? I'm using it now, and I'm not having any noticeable issues.

you will have noticeable issues in alot of games. That is a default config for ALL games I've been testing.

for example:
.hack//G.U can use ee x3 and also VU stealing at 3 or 4, but tekken crashes.
FFX can't use microVU (as of last testing) certain places get stuck

in other words.. you're welcome to go higher than that, but it won't always work

I'm just using the emulator for Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, and possibly Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Could I just leave them maxed out at 3, and if I run into any issues, just change it?

I haven't played FM, so I cannot say for sure. but for the most part you should be ok.

Sounds good.

I tried to do your settings, but it only made my game run about 10-15 FPS lower. :/

So, am I stuck playing on 45-55 FPS, unless I upgrade my computer?

45-55 fps is actually pretty good. I'm going to put my money on this one:
The GPU is killing any chance of 60fps, it simply can't handle it. keep with 45-55 and be happy there, it's less than a quarter second off anyway

I agree. I'm fine with having my FPS in that area, although having a consistent 55-60 would be great.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. Smile

yes, if 256 didn't make it 60, nothing will.
