Fatal Frame 2 Audio Fix for Linux

Ubuntu: 20.04 PCSX2 1.7.0

Fatal Frame 2 has a known audio glitch with skipping speech outside of cutscenes, the fix on windows is to use a custom SPU2-X plugin specifically for FF2. (found here: https://wiki.pcsx2.net/index.php/Fatal_F..._Butterfly)

I can not find a linux version fix through my searches and do not appear to have the option to select audio plugins on my version

Is a linux fix possible?

It's a known issue across all OSs as you know. That plugin doesn't really work that well these days / were dropping plugins in the future. The best hope is to wait it out for a fix.
