Fedora 40 fresh install, no SPU2 plugin to select.
#1
Hi all.

I am on a P16s Gen1, fresh install of Fedora 40. I installed the operating system and ran the updates, then installed RPM Fusion (rpmfusion.org, page Configuration) and installed PCSX2 from those repos.

Nothing else so far. PCSX2 starts but during the initial wizard i have no option for SPU2. It's probably something i need to install but i am unsure what is missing.
The sound works on the machine.

I did try PCSX2 on this same computer when i was on Arch (literally yesterday) and installing it with yay from AUR (aur.archlinux, package pcsx2) worked without a problem.

That install was old so it's probably a package i had installed already.

Can someone help me figure out what package i might be missing?

Thanks!

Hi all, me again.

I've been reading about this a little more and figured out the plugins are in the default path (expected) so i went and check

and i can see that it's there.

Code:
root@fedora:/usr/lib/games/pcsx2# ls -alF
total 5700

-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root   27984 Feb  3 19:00 libUSBnull-0.7.0.so*

I can see that it's there but the wizard neither let me select it nor continue without me selecting it, which is just lame i don't know what to do next.

Use latest dev from downloads. Don't use 1.6 unless you must; it's ancient.
