There is, actually.
The EE Sync Hacks at x2 will ruin any FMVs on any games; read the info under it.
In any case, in FFX-2 you do have to switch between hardware and software mode every time the FMVs show up.
And try to use the microVU options if turning it on doesn't crash PCSX2 on your system.
