Nope, just tried it now. Doesn't help.

I have been impressed by pcsx2 for what must be years. It can make games look fantastic. However, this problem with 2d text has been a constant thorn in my side. Ya of course I could use native res but I dunno... I feel like that mostly defeats the purpose of using an emulator. I've tried asking this before and couldn't get a response: Is this issue actually impossible to fix (I don't mean on my end - is it impossible for the developers to solve this problem?). What's the difference between ps1 and ps2 that causes this issue to be so difficult? For example, ePSXe is my favorite ps1 emulator and I only ever notice improvements when increasing resolution with it. Any clarity on this issue is appreciated. I really desire to play ffx in hd and I guess luckily square is releasing such a version but unfortunately I don't have a ps3 and I hardly feel like spending hundreds of dollars just to play 1 game. Anywho, thanks again for reading and answering.

Looks like the DQ 8 text issue. Have you tried the Wild Arms Offset Hack?
