I used to have a Radeon x850xt which scores a 78 and it was far too slow to play anything but games that were mostly 2d like Ar tonelico.

Compare those scores to a modern card like my Radeon 7870 - it scores 4250.

I had a Geforce GT 610 before the 7870 and it scored 443. It was JUST fast enough to play most things on native resolution.

thank you for that. well for now i can bear with my GPU since i am planning to buy a new one this month anyway. well i'll just play for now, thank you

You should definitely be able to run most anything with that. Most things you will be able to turn up to 2x or 3x resolution, some of the super demanding stuff you might have to stick with native though. For FFXII you should be able to definitely go to 3x resolution, at least as far as that GPU is concerned.

Although I just priced it. The 7750 is $79 at newegg and scores a 1627 in Passmark. The 7770 is $89 at newegg and scores a 2156. That's almost 33% faster for only $10 more.

I looked at those a little more. The 7750 at newegg for $79 is 2GB of VRAM. The 7770 is 1GB. So the 7770 is $10 more, faster core, but less memory. But the 7770 at newegg is GDDR5 though, whereas the 7750 is DDR3. The 7750 you were looking at has GDDR5 you said. Which is entirely possible since this one I was looking at is made by HIS and yours was powercolor.

Personally I would rather the 1GB of GDDR5 than 2GB of DDR3. Here are those links for comparison since I don't know what you were gonna spend on the powercolor.

Hope I didn't confuse you with all that, I was just trying to make sure you got the best deal possible. If I confused you just ask me and I'll try to explain it more sanely lol.
