Is it always 35 FPS? This looks like Vsync is on (if it's off in GSdx, it might be on in your graphics card drivers)

The Vsync is already off. My FPS was around 35,36,37 like that. Maybe it has got to do with my RAM memory anyway.

The speed of your RAM can make some FPS difference. What is your's? (Mhz and DDR)

I found the Zero gs plugin to be much faster when I last played ff12. Still I don't see the game being that playable without overclocking, 3GHz should be no problem really.

I also have a major speed problem. I have tried many of the suggestions already posted, but I always get 50 to 67% and 50% or lower on cut scenes.

Q6600 @ 3.6ghz, 4GB PC2-8550, Radeon HD 4870 X2.

Current settings:
GSdx 890 (MSVC 15.00, SSE 2) 0.1.14:

Windowed
Direct3D9 (Software)
Pixel Shader 2.0
None (interlacing)
4:3
1024x1024 Native
SW Render Threads: 2
NLoop Hack
Texture Filtering

CPU:

EErec
VU1rec
Multi threaded GS Mode
Normal (Frame limiting)

Everything else related (speed hack, advanced, game fixes) is set to default settings.

1st use ssse3 q6600 suports it 2nd why not use 1888 with the latest plugin pack? (works like a charm in ff12) and 3) try not using a too high resolution in gsdx. even though your gpu should be able to play it at least at x4 the normal res. and most importantly dont use d3d9 software use d3d10 HARDWARE(or 11 depends on plugins etc).
also in advanced options of the 1888 (that u must use!!!) put BOTH clamp modes to NONE it will give a speed boost and not do anything bad to that specific game.!
everything u need is in the download section of the forum!
OS: Win 7 Ultimate x64 sp1, MoBo: Asus P5QD Turbo, CPU: Q6600 @ 3,0Ghz, RAM: Trancend 2x2gb 6-6-6-18 800 MHz, GPU: HD 4850 1gb.
Pcsx2: Always Latest
