yes but native looks so bad after max monitor resolution i dont even consider playing on native, i play ff12 on my desktop at 1920x1080 and the detail is unbelievable, not many pc games can match the beauty of ff12 in 1080p

granted, but you sit alot closer to the PC than you ever would a TV, imperfections are easy to see.

in fact I played on 1024*1024 all the time, without any particular setting.

1 little thing though : cpu clockspeed is important, cpu architecture is important too.
Maybe it's beacause it's a desktop, and not a laptop.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X

Q6600 @ 3.6ghz, 4GB PC2-8550, Radeon HD 4870 X2.

Current settings:
GSdx 890 (MSVC 15.00, SSE 2) 0.1.14:

Windowed
Direct3D9 (Software)
Pixel Shader 2.0
None (interlacing)
4:3
1024x1024 Native
SW Render Threads: 2
NLoop Hack
Texture Filtering

CPU:

EErec
VU1rec
Multi threaded GS Mode
Normal (Frame limiting)

Everything else related (speed hack, advanced, game fixes) is set to default settings.

Why are you using Direct3D9 (Software) mode? Always use hardware mode for speed! This could be one of the reasons why you're getting low fps. Also, don't use Pixel Shader 2.0, it's outdated...you should be using PS 3.0 instead.

@BlackMage8217

Use or try Pixel Shader 3.0
