Actually your PC is kinda not very suitable to PCSX2 .. but FFX should not a problem for you to reach 50++ Fps.

Recommended:
Upgrade to latest DirectX
upgrade to Directx 10. (if I not mistake your GPU can't run Directx10)
Use latest rev of GDSX (download at plugin thread) this possible will increase some speed.
Use the BETA CPCSX2 rev 1059 (at Beta side thread)
Tweak the Speed hack !! ( this will boost your FPS very good)

and i think you cpu is supporting ssse3? if so, use GSdx (ssse3 instead of sse2) that would give a little speed boost Smile
and use some speed hacks Smile

well yeah it does support sse3 but after changeing it to sse3 and try to run pcsx2 it said "CPU does not support sse3 3.01"

@nelsonz
my directx is updated up to the march 2009...
is there a new version?

i cant upgrade to vista( cuz i dont have a cd)

does gdsx have a new verion?
pls help me find it..
i would really appreciate it...

i have downloaded the beta of pcsx2(1059)
and i have tweaked my speed hack from the beta(the experimental vu cycle stealing)

thx for the reply!

I use PeopsSpu2 and there's an option called "Thread Mode" in that sound plugin. Since you have 2 cores it will speed the FPS by at least 4 fps compared to the other but can be less compatible with some games but fine for FFX so try that out. I hope it works better for you Smile

You can't do much more then I'm afraid. The fps you're getting are normal for your PC.

Very unlikely.

Try enabling all the speedhacks. If that doesn't help - nothing you can do but upgrade.
