Finding out savestate version?
#1
I upgraded my build and now my savestates dont work, and I did the same thing only a few weeks before.

Its mostly that one one game I will only lose around a hours gaming but on another maybe 2-3 hours since they were rpgs with big gaps of save points.

Is there a way to identify the version of the savestate or emulator used so I can save to mem card instead?

Savestate is corrupt or incomplete!
Path: D:\pcsx2-5147-windows-x86\pcsx2-5147-windows-x86\sstates\SLUS-20194 (160076FE).00.p2s
(pxActionEvent) Savestate uses an unsupported or unknown savestate version.

so you have a 5128 state, and a newer revision that you are trying to play on

I have tried lower versions of the emulator which refuse to load it, and give that above message, but the never revisions dont even give me that message and something about unexpected end.

Grandia 2, I had the same problem with Dragon Quest V but manged to get 2 of the 5 savestates for that to work but not a single Grandia save.

I dont know if its because I overwrite all my files and folders when updating emu.

Managed to catch up to where I was luckily but its good to know for future.
