First Specs for PCSX2 [Will it work?]

Ok in laymans terms. A 32 bit OS can on read like 3.25GB of RAM. A 64 bit OS can read almost an infinite amount of RAM. That's the difference between a 32 bit OS and a 64 bit OS. It matters how much RAM can be read. Their is no reason for anyone not to have a 64 bit OS nowadays unless your system maxes out at like 2GB of RAM. Does it matter what type of bit your OS is for running the emulator no. Hell on of the newest revisions is a 32 bit application anyways and runs fine on a 64 BIT OS like it should.

Anyways in short the type of bit OS you have does not increase performance for anything of the same OS. So Windows 7 32 bit and Windows 7 64 bit will preform EXACTLY the same. Once again the difference between the 2 is how much ram a 32 bit OS reads and how much a 64 bit OS reads. That's the only difference.

Ah, I see... thanks for the clarification. It [and the links] really helped. ^^
64 bit for me, then, I guess, since I plan on utilizing more than 4GB of RAM.
