First time PCSX2 user. Can someone help?
#1
Hi there. I recently got PCSX2, the bios and plugins. I am having trouble finding the right settings for my system (As I know different systems=different settings). I am currently testing Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. I have not had any success in playing the game. I can get it to start fine with high FPS, however gameplay is impossible atm because the FPS drop dramatically. I would like to find the best settings that not only work for this game, but other games as well. I have tried reading the setup guide, but I still don't know which settings I should choose. I have tried experimenting with different settings, but I honestly don't know what I'm doing. Can someone please help? I will give my system specs below. I'm pretty confident that my comp can run PCSX2, as I have seen systems on youtube that are much lower then mine and they work fine.

Motherboard-Gigabyte K8NSC-939
CPU-AMD Opteron 170 duel core @2.5 Ghz
Graphics card-Radeon HD 3650 1GB
Ram-4 GB DDR PC3200 400mhz duel channel 128 bit
Running Windows XP 64, directx 9, PCSX2 0.9.7

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Your cpu is quite old and at only 2.5ghz its not that great for pcsx2. Its enough for less demanding game but DBZBT3 is quite demanding if Im not mistaken. Try using the latest pcsx2 beta(if not already using it) and try using native resolution and some speedhacks.
