Fixing unplayable games

Fixes majority of overbrightness issues. Little translucent fog remains in some areas (I can fix that but that creates other problems). Automatic gamefixes need to be tested.

This was huge, thanks for your time/work on this patch! Would it be possible to do a patch for the JPN version? I don't have any savestates, but I have hard-saves throughout the entire game.

**Edit: Just to clarify, the JPN version seems to have a lot of the same issues the NA version has/had. But with patches from the Devs and possibly some code changes here and there, the current patch made for the NA version, predictably, does not work with the JPN version.

find a cheat that works on Na and jpn, and use my cheat conversion guide. that should work

This patch should work for Musashiden II - Blademaster [SLPM 66008] (J)

Patches for Pride FC Fighting Championships, fixes most issues with menus, character select screens, create character screen, etc.
Only thing that remained broken is place where official PrideFC rules are displayed. I wasn't able to fix that without breaking other stuff, or without making that patch even more ridiculous.. Since i'm using script to find problematic places, this can be easily ported to JPN version of game if someone want it (ping me).

Fix hang at default SPU cycle delay value. Game seems to have bugged streaming module. Patch change param passed to sceSdGetAddr.
Seems to work fine, but i didn't tested that for long time.
Edit: Not required on latest dev build.

Code:
patch=1,IOP,C41A0,word,2404226f

I have tested with v1.7.0-dev-1011-g10e995aa0 and while yes the hang issue is gone there is a loud pop on the right channel whenever the music loops which is not there if i use the patch.
Game seems to work fine in both cases (with or without the patch).

Workaround for Itadaki Street 3 - Okuman Chouja ni ***** Ageru! Katei Kyoushi Tsuki! sound bug (EE cache).
I'm not sure how good that patch is, since its skipping some code that can be required at some point. I played for around 20 minutes,and it work fine, more test required.

Ohhhhhhh! I will try this ASAP! Actually working on an English patch. The Fortune Street community thanks you.

EDIT: I'll want to play through more of the complex boards (some have "cutscenes" when the board changes) but the only thing I've noticed so far is that CPU turns still lag trying (and failing) to display their dialog. But this is WAYYYYY more playable THANK YOU. No more music for 5 seconds > silence > music tries playing again > repeat.

Ok, thank you for testing. Smile
I looked into missing dialogues during cpu turns. That is also EE cache issue, or game expect really slow DMA/EE. I'm going to test that later, but i don't think i will be able to do anything myself if i will confirm that's also cache issue, and not EE speed itself.

For now i created patch to skip those dialogues, so game can be played little bit more comfortably. Tested only 2 times, so no idea that its fine to use it for more complicated stages.

Code:
// Skip xag_stop in XagStop function
patch=1,IOP,000a73f4,word,00000000

Can I get a how to, for patching this? Step by step. Literally not the first clue and no pointing to a thread doesn't help. I need my hand literally dragged step by step specifically.
