Yeah, I registered to this forum to get some answers about the same issue. I was trying to get Sniper 2 to work okay since I want to do a video series on it from how horrible I heard it was. It was doing the flickering on the logo screens, in which at one point became rather seizure-inducing. Fjapo's workaround seems to work with that and how slow SFA Anthology was running in some areas.

It does have a weird glitch where the PS2 logo during startup comes up slowly, but other than that, things seem to be okay so far, and I'd take the PS2 logo coming up slower than normal than for me to have a sodding headache any day of the week.
