I'm playing Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (NTSC version) on the latest version of PCSX2 (which I just updated today) with mostly default settings except the graphics settings (which are mostly maxed out, though the problem persists even on default settings). Sometimes when I play, the screen will start flickering around the lights in the game. The lights seem to dim and un-dim very quickly. This shuttering effect tends to happen once I enter a new area and it stops for a few milliseconds to load. The lights seem to become un-synchronized with the frame rate somehow. The problem persists in every available renderer, including software. The problem goes away if I toggle the frame limit to 200%, but I much prefer playing at 100%. I've already tried the EE and VU clamp adjustments mentioned in this old post from 2014 (https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Blinking...ds-of-Time) to no avail.
I have a custom built computer with an AMD Radeon RX 6750XT GPU (latest drivers), an AMD R7 7800X3D CPU, 32GB 6000MHZ G.SKILL DDR5 RAM, and Windows 10 (latest version) installed on a 2TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD. I have PCSX2 and my games on an HDD just to try to emulate the classic slowness of older games and see the loading screens of yore.
EDIT: Disabling freesync on my monitor fixed it!
