Four games to be played
#1
Hie everyone, i'm French and will try my best to write in English.

My computer will be fast, but i haven't it yet ( i7 + 16go ram + 1650gt + Qhd 32" ) because i need to wait end of this year, that's it. Will my computer will have "all" necessary HW requirements (YES).

All my games offer possibility of "progressive scan" and" 60hz", i'm lucky, but MGS hasn't nothing, so it's the ntsc version. i can't say 50hz is today gaming style worldwidely ! PAL is on his end in console world.
I'd like to have the better gaming experience using best options for each, there are four in total :

Haunting grounds - SLES-52877 - PAL - "progressive scan 480p" option at game launch.
Metal gear solid 3 - SLUS-21359 - NTSC.
Project zero - SLES-50821 - PAL - "60hz Tv Mode" option ingame menu.
Project zero 3 - SLES-53825 - PAL - "progressive scan 480p" option ingame menu.

Ever found WideScreen patches, it seems to work well, is there newer or better ways to have 16-9 "hacked" ?

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

First game,
i can't understand how to find which of this two is the good one, not tested with one only in folder, but it refers to disc identity so i'd like to know how to retrieve it, two files contain 100% same text, 2CD5794C.pnach and 08C1ED4D.pnach :

gametitle=Haunting Ground (SLES-52877)
comment=Widescreen hack by nemesis2000 (pnach by nemesis2000 )
patch=1,EE,0010e31c,word,3c013f40
patch=1,EE,0010e320,word,44810000
patch=1,EE,0010e328,word,4600c602
//cutscenes fix
patch=1,EE,0028aecc,word,34a98c00
patch=1,EE,0028aeb4,word,34a67400
//black borders fix
patch=1,EE,0035e628,word,00000000
patch=1,EE,0035e62c,word,03e00008
patch=1,EE,0035e630,word,00000000

Seen one little unfixed thing, game start intro Fmv resized horizontaly but keeping black band, only few scenes (perhaps one or two) from start to beginning of the game use this kind of video, others are fullscreen 16-9, i finished the game (played with igp 620, i5 laptop).

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game two,
can i remove unecessary lines, like force fps options, comments....... and keep only what i need :

gametitle=Metal Gear Solid 3 - Subsistence (SLUS_21359)
comment=Widescreen hack by No.47
patch=1,EE,202050AC,word,3F400000
//commentcheat=No Letterbox V2 (By SolidSnake11)
patch=1,EE,D025E6A7,extended,00100001
patch=1,EE,2025E6A4,extended,00000000
patch=1,EE,D0145990,extended,8C8B000C
patch=1,EE,D01459C8,extended,240F8000
patch=1,EE,D0131758,extended,8E0E0004
//comment=Force 60 FPS
//patch=1,EE,001D5AD8,extended,00000000
//patch=1,EE,001D6DB8,extended,00000001
//patch=1,EE,001D6DBC,extended,00000000
//comment=Force 30 FPS
//patch=1,EE,001D5AD8,extended,00000040
//patch=1,EE,001D6DB8,extended,00000002
//patch=1,EE,001D6DBC,extended,00000001

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Third,
i removed 16-10 and 15-10 options lines, file too long for forum. Are infos from file like "use this options inPcsx2" good, have optionnal fixes to be tested, where to find more info for each of them :

Now i've watch this, i think it's possible to keep only necessary lines, am i wrong, all lines with ; ==== can be removed, lines with  //  are lines of not actived patches (until // is removed). Thanks

I want to be sure i use the good patches versions, for my games ti play the better in 16/9.

I'd like to have some config profil for each game, how-to. I didn't like SpectaBis.

A+

I'm back, thanks, that answers me what i can do with pnatch'ss files, this are great files, and i'm lucky, for all my games i found one even if i have uncommon games.

I have a computer now and strated to use PcSX 1.6 and it's better than all, thanks to your response.

For WideScreen patch to work, i know it's certainely not intended to, but i changed options from BIOS, three choices, 4:3 - stretch window - 16:9, is this bad to change that to 16:9 to have pnatch work efficiently ?!?
