Fps problem FFX

This is the first game I've tried and I've tried it using all the different plugin's including the betas and I still can't get more than 30fps.. I'm hoping I'm missing something.

Amd Opteron 170 dualcore 2.0 rated at 5.6ghz
Geforce 9600gt 512mb
2 gigs of ram
Running windows 7.

You left every setting at default, and just got 30fps in that game?
Dunno, a 2Ghz athlonx2 should get a little more than that.

Or did you mean 30fps in demanding spots in the game, cause that fits with that cpu

No I mean I havent gotten passed the intro cutscene cause it's 20-30 fps.

and what are the settings of those plugins? do you want us to guess?

I was kind of hoping you would, but since that isn't an option..

1. run the game from hdd with linuziso
2. check native in the gsdx config
3. try all speed hacks, especially the "vu cycle stealing". but only activate them one after one and compare fps gains vs. glitches that occur (use e.g. the summons to "benchmark" your setup, especially the full shiva summon is very demanding)

K just tried Linuz iso and it had an error loading it, now I'll try 2 and 3.

what about trying to investigate the cause of this error? running an iso of your game disc directly from your hdd is the most stable and fastest method currently. there is absolutely no reason at all to not run this game with linuziso.
