Framerate Problems [PCSX2 0.9.6]

Hi All,

First of all, I only play Shooters [Mushihime-sama, Ibara, Trizeal etc.]. These games are totally unplayable, regardless what settings I use. The framerate drops from 60 fps to 50, or even 30. There are only two games that work fine [Homura and Thunderforce 6]. Is there some solution for this problem? [I know that I have to buy a modded PS2 to play these games well.]

PC specs: AMD athlon X2 6000+ [3.1GHz]
2GB Corsair XMS Memory
MSI 9800GT OC

Unfortunately, i think the only thing you could do aside from enabling speed hacks and using native resolution is to buy a different CPU, or overclock the one you currently use. The 6000+ can use SSE3 at most as an instruction set, SSE4.1 or SSSE3 would certainly help your cause.

Thanks for your reply Khentix! Maybe I buy a new modded PS2 [200,00 euro!]. I recently bought a DreamCast for 75,00 euro to play STG's. I'm a huge fan of Shooting Games.

Solid 60 fps with Mushihimesama and Ibara with a little tweaking. Espgaluda refuses to maintain a solid framerate though. Has anyone tips for running Espgaluda?

Specs: Core i7 920 @2.6ghz , 6GB DDR3 1600 RAM , GF 8800GTX , Vista 64.

Yeah, first I wanted to post the same, but didn't.

People are getting too obsessed with piracy and stuff. relax a bit !

That makes no sense? He needs a modded console to play games? Yeah.. Because that make sense unless it's piracy...

So, way I interpret it, he's downloading the games, then running them on the emulator?

well just so you know that post that you're referring to was posted like ~20 days ago (so if the mods didn't lock it then, then most probably they won't now ), and who knows if there are games that are only downloadable (but he would also need to have it modded if the game he's trying to get is only in a region that his ps2 doesn't support )

If he's playing games his PS2 doesn't support, then he can't be using his BIOS..
