From FX 6300 to i7 3770. Is it worth it?

OC the 6300 if you want. If you are considering a new CPU you have nothing to lose anyway. Get it to 4.4 and it will handle most things in PCSX2 nicely.

As others have said, I'd go with a more recent CPU unless you happen to have an LGA1155 board already.

The 3770 is a beast though.

Money wise, it's better to get an i5 rather than getting an I7 unless, you are heavy at CPU related tasks and can afford the cost.
