GS problem on Fedora 27
#1
Hi guys,

I'm installing PCSX2 for the first time.

Running on Fedora 27 with intel i7-4770 integrated GPU

I can run the fisttime wizard correctly, load my bios and select an ISO.
But when trying to boot I get an error message

GS plugin failed to open. Your computer may have insufficient resources or incompatible hardware/drivers.

On the logs it talks about issues with the GS plugin

Code:

libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
Failed to create the opengl context. Check your drivers support openGL 3.3. Hint: opensource drivers don't

Closing GS
Plugins closed successfully.
Shutting down plugins...
(pxActionEvent) GS plugin failed to open!(thread:MTGS)(thread:EE Core)
Plugins shutdown successfully.
User-canceled plugin configuration after plugin initialization failure.  Plugins unloaded.

Any idea on how to get around this problem?

Thanks!

Nevermind, I saw your post above. It's been a while since I last had too fool around with the open/closed source mesa drivers for Linux. I'm not sure right now what the problem is.

Could you double check that you don't miss a 32 bits driver library.

Those errors are coming from the main GL driver (which try to dispatch to real seem-missing driver)

That did the trick!!!

looked for missing mesa 32 bit driver and found some great instructions to install

(adding link for future ppl googling around this problem)

Thanks for your help and for maintaining such a cool project. Smile
