Hum, GSdx doesn't have any CRC for tekken4, only tekken5. I'm curious if they use the same game engine.

Anyway, OpenGL is much better. And eventually you might need to accept that 8x requires too much memory. It isn't obvious but some games use 10-100 framebuffer to draw a single picture (whereas normal games use a single frame buffer). So we hit both the 4GB (32 bits) limit and VRAM limit very quickly with big upscaling.

I'll run some tests and see if it benefits from channel shuffle like tekken 5 does. As for other CRC hacks I leave that to you Smile

edit: I still see a small vram spike on 8x so it probably doesn't work or it's not related.
edit2: Opps I forgot that the RGB channel is for OpenGL only xD
It's hard to tell if it's working or not , I see a slight reduction in vram usage but maybe that's within margin. Can you see if it works properly ?

What are the other crc hacks for on Tekken5 btw ?

With a gsdump of the spike I can maybe tell you if it is the same pattern.
