When I run Rumble Racing I get this crash after loading a map, it flickers for half a second almost like it was going to run fine then this comes up. This only happens when I run any res thats not the native res, native is fine. Also NFS Hot Pursuit 2 will not run at all when using GSDX, just crashes and the GSDX SSE41 .dll gets the blame, while I can use the OpenGL ZeroGS and NFS HP2 will almost run perfect, screen is a bit fuzzy and speed is only 60~75%.
The above issues with both games is the same with DX 9 and 10. So what is this m_merge thing thats apparently going nowhere?

If you have Interlacing enabled from the GSdx options try to turn it off and only use it ingame (F5), I thought that bug was fixed tho.

Ok, how about you use an older revision of GSdx like r1406

Same thing, though with r1406 the display window is no 1280x720 like it says.

Just to let you guys know the latest PCSX2 r1888/GSDX r1873 still does the above posted crashes with both games.
PS: As of r1888 Ace Combat Zero and 5 get past the title screen PROPS TO YOU ALL!!

No one knows what m_merge is NULL is?

this m_merge is null thing shows up in persona 3 fes too and crashes it if i have interlacing enabled.

Does it run fine if you disable interlacing? Mine says the same regardless of interlacing.

It means the plugin produced an invalid state, and instead of using the NULL object we just skip it.
The error must be pretty bad if your game crashes though. Needs to be debugged properly..
