GSdx Causing The Bouncer To Crash
#1
Sup guys, was searching about the forums and wasn't able to find anything, so apologies if this has been answered already.

I've been playing The Bouncer (NTSC-U Version) on PCSX2 (Version 1.1.0.5593) and it runs perfect, aside from one minor issue:

After reaching the Rocket Tower, the game seems to hang on the loading screen, freezes completely, then crashes.

After a bit of troubleshooting, I've narrowed it down to GSdx being the culprit. The version is GSdx 5580 (MSVC 16.00, SSE2) 0.1.16 [GSdx32-SSE2-r5580] if it matters.

I tested out ZeroGS 0.97.1 and the loading screens loaded fine without any crashes.

So, any ideas on what could be causing the crashes? I'll finish the game with ZeroGS if need be, but I'd very much rather use GSdx if possible.

Oh, and here are my system specifications if they'll help:

Windows 7 64Bit
8GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Phenom II X4 980 @ 4.0 GHz
AMD SAPPHIRE 7950

Thanks again for reading, any help would be greatly appreciated.

some generic methods to handle loading scenes that freeze...set clamps to full/extra, avoid pnach cheats for that area, and load from mem card and not save state
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit (occasional Antergos/Arch user)
(I am no longer a Windows user)
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258
GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti

Hey, thanks for the response. Tried changing the clamps over to extra, but to no luck :/

Nothing, unfortunately. It just sits at the loading screen until I attempt to close the program, then it freezes and crashes. So it's either not recognizing that there's an issue, or it's crashing before it has a chance to show it in the logs.
