GSdx Software vs hardware
#1
first I'm useing PCSX2 0.9.7.3876m for the emulator and the GSDX is 0.1.16.

the issue I'm having is when I use software mode the graphics is very low quality but the videos are very smooth. with Hardware the videos are equal and to me better than PS2 video but during videos it overlaps with the image just before they started.

I would like the best of both but I don't know if it's something I can change in the emulator or the plugin or if there's some software I can download to make the bad video quality in the software setting to go away.

in both settings run smoothly other than software mode witch loads videos a bit slower than hardware mode.

Computer details because I'm sure someone will ask

I played it with and without the video fix and it doesn't change anything.

yeah. with GSDX there's Hardware, Software, and Nell or null something like that. the last one just runs with a black screen so it's out of the question.

You can simply switch to software mode with the F9 key while the videos are running and back to software again with F9 for actual playing.

Most of the times it works just fine. In my case, if I keep switching between the 2 very often, it will give me a crash but, that's when save states are useful. Just keep saving from time to time, that way you don't lose much progress if some random crash occurs.
