Try the Alpha Hack (Enable HW Hacks --> Alpha Hack) or skipdraw to 4 etc. try different values / hacks if that fixes it.
Or play it at software mode.

No, you cannot change the internal resolution while using a software renderer.

About the Vista platform update mentioned in post #1:
From what I have understood "KB971512" is included in (or has been replaced with) "KB971644"
which is installed automatically through Windows\Microsoft Update.
This is why "KB971512" isn't a valid update for systems with the "KB971644" update installed.
Does anyone of you know better?

I have an issue with two different games.

First off is Primal. The game is completely black in hardware mode, but works in software mode. When in software mode the emulation is extremely slow and has been this way for the past few major updates.

Second game is TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. There seems to be some sort of graphical distortion on the bottom half of the screen.

I tried all possible hardware hacks with both games and nothing fixed it.

Gabest isn't eager to fix it though.

Man, that really sucks. A lot of work just to get one game going! I see if it ever gets fixed (I'm sure it eventually will). Thanks for the info though!

Does anyone know if there is any work on porting the GSDX-OGL Plugin used in Linux over to Mac?
