its nice to have a variety of gs plugins,so if gsdx is not being worked at the moment you always have zzogl to give it try.

Hey Guys
I am having a problem with the public beta gsdx. I can not pick directx 10 in the drop down list. on other version of pcsx2 I can pick it fine, but it does not show up on the public beta. I have found this link "http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-GSdx?pid=112545#pid112545" to the vista platform update, and after I run the program it says "the update does not apply to your system" I am running 64 bit but I also tried and downloaded the 64 bit update and it says the same thing. I appreciate any help I can get on this.

Paul:
Check if you're on service pack 2 of Vista. If you're not, then you need to find out why the service pack won't install.

We just fixed the last "kind of" generic issues with GSdx:
A few references to the DX10 device were not getting tracked, so we had a memleak on device creations.

Man, where is the latest version of GSdx?

It says the link is down, but I only see the old versions.
Sorry for my ignorance, and thanks in advance.

Use the one in the latest beta or compile it yourself/search for a recent build in google.

Hey thanks. This worked for me. I turned off automatic updates, but I thought I had service pack 2 installed. Turns out I didn't after the install the program worked, and I can select directx 10. Using directx 10 didnt speed my game up any, or if it did it seems negligible. I am running Dragon Quest VIII, so I dont know if that game has problems, but usually I get a good speed boost with directx 10. I didnt know if there was something else I could do to speed it up? Thanks again for you help.
