Very interesting i shall investigate (test it)Biggrin

by the way is there any way to assign a hot key that toggles sound on/off to pcsx2?

I don't think a hotkey for disabling the sound exist, but I could be wrong.

I'm sure it's possible to do, anyway.

Are you hoping to disable sound for a little performance boost when you need it, or something?

Keep GSDX in native res and allow 8 bit textures should help keep the memory usage down, that's where the spikes are coming from. you might get away with native x2 if youre lucky ;p

indeed, 8bit textures and the 4GB fix help a fair bit.

iirc what rama told beabout this issue, its a GSDX leak in the texture cache? and the default 2GB address limit doesnn't help much...

Check your virtual memory. How much space you left for it to use?

Virtual Addressing is not the same as virtual memory

both are aspects of windows memory management but serve different jobs

Similar problem happened me before; when I try to play mw2 windows pop ups a message that says: out of memory close some apps blah blah with 4gb of ram and task manager shows only %60 of ram used. So I noticed that my pagefile size was only 300MB, windows reduced its size for some reason then I manually set it to 3072MB problem solved. No more out of memory errors.

In the first post he mentioned exactly same problem as mine as far as I understand.

well it was page file memory i reduced it my self to 400mb to save space on my SSD and i havent had any issue till GT4, so i set it back to recommended size and messages and crashes are gone, thanks guys, oh and i was asking about sound on/off hot key for pcsx2 because i like to listen to music when driving so i wanted a faster way to mute pcsx2 sound
