Ape Escape 2's cutscenes are fixed in hardware mode now thanks to the unscale point line hack. The cutscenes run at full speed and theres no grid in hardware mode regardless of the internal resolution. Ape Escape 3, Hot Shots Golf 3 and 4 are also fixed which had the same issue.
