What's the difference on Emulator, though? Should it really matter?
Or is it the BIOS or something?

EDIT:
I played a bit further (beat Djose Temple, and saved.)
Here's the new memory card file:

All that needs to be done now is to go in, wake up Yuna, talk to her, go out, talk to everyone, then save the game - and hopefully it will work for me.

I had the exact same problem and I managed to get past that point by switching from Gsdx to ZeroGS kosmos. Here's my memory card: http://www.wikiupload.com/download_page.php?id=103392 it has lots of ffx saves on it including one that's directly after that point.

I myself am stuck at a later point, just after beating seymour in macalania temple and his death cut-scene starts to play. I get a view of the ceiling and then some really distorted graphics and some polygons and the emulator stops responding. I've tried switching plugins etc like the last time but so far nothing works.

@Veljean Speedhacks might be causing that problem if you have them on
