Game boots to start screen but can't select anything

First post and I just got everything booted so I'm probably just messing something up, any input is appreciated.

Trying to play Siren. Downloaded Lilypad and programmed all of my inputs to either keyboard or mouse movement keybinds. I'm not using shift or control. I get the PS2 start screen and a good game boot start screen. I'm at the start screen where I would select begin game, load, or options. I'm able to move my selected option around so I know the emulator is receiving my inputs, but no matter what I press i can't actually start playing the game. Can't select start.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
