Game freezing after enabling cheats

My pcsx2 was running fine playing god of war 2. After i enabled cheats and uploaded a .pnach file to the cheats folder, GoW2 launches and runs for a few seconds then freezes in the main menu or loading screen. the audio continues for a bit after it freezes but then that stops too. pls help thanks. i have the pcsx2 nightly release or whatever.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
