that's weird, because you are using pcsx2 1.0.0, but with plugins from 0.9.8...

Thanks, that fixed the bars, but still having the problem that it's slow mo like half the time.

AFAIK, This game is known to be quite demanding.
1st, enable all recommended speedhacks.
2nd, set both ee cycle rate & vu cycle stealing to 1

but it's possible that under 3.8-4ghz, some games won't run @ full speed.

you could also enable the MTVU speedhack, it may not work with the game but likelyhood is it will.
