Game runs slow/laggy

Do you have any non-standard settings or AA/Hardware Hacks enabled?

I have not enabled anything. I pretty much installed it directly, got my PS2's BIOS and loaded the game on my PC. Have not configured anything.

My CPU being too slow is hard to swallow. It's not much slower than an i5 Sandy Bridge CPU and that's at stock clocks.

I'll give the SVN builds a run.

I do have access to a water-cooled overclocked 2500k w/ overclocked 6990 and 6970 in tri-fire on water. Think that might run it? Angry Haha. Just gotta convince my roommate to let me use it.

Yeah even with that 18.5% overclock you cpu still isn't fast enough.

Yet a stock 2500k would be fine?

EDIT
This just means I need to overclock more. Was being lazy and let the motherboard do a "max" overclock for me. I'll get it back up to 4Ghz.

I know.Just make a mistake when reading see my above post
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

A stock 2500k has much better single threaded performance than your cpu, and you really expect to get up to 4ghz

Wasn't thinking that PCSX2 is single threaded. You're right, the 2500k (and all Sandy Bridge really) has much better single threaded performance due to better IPC.

As for getting my CPU up to 4Ghz on air, yes.

Yeah, pcsx2 relies on good single threaded performance. You know that those first gen core i5/i7 cpu's heat up pretty quick,

Ok, just be sure watch those temp because pcsx2 with push your cpu to it's limit.
