Set the Power Plan for Windows itself in "Power Options".
You can find it in Control Panel,
or through the battery icon in the System Tray.

Set that to High Performance.

Keep the internal resolution lower, like at native,
until you can achieve good speed.

Enable Speedhacks, if necessary.
Try moving the cycle sliders little at a time to help more.
Again-- If necessary.

How's that going?
BTW - Does your laptop have nVidia Optimus...?

Battery : High Performance
Speed Hacks : Tried all of them
Internal Resolution : Native
= Same speed Sad

And yes I have NVIDIA Optimus Technology Smile

EDIT: I am about to give up Tongue It would be nice though playing PS2 games in high resolution and connecting my laptop to my tv with HDMI Tongue

That's your choice. Tongue

That's your problem. Wink

That's my best guess, at this point.
It has been know to wrongfully use the IGP for PCSX2.
I believe there is settings to force the discrete GPU,
possibly in the nVidia Control Panel.
I've never dealt with the problem first-hand,
so it's not something I keep on the back of my hand. lol
(Maybe try looking with Google)

Also, I cannot say just how "demanding" this particular game is.
I know the first was not that bad,
but it can vary.
What other games are slow...?

I run the game using my NVIDIA, I fixed from NVIDIA Control Panel and every time I'm using PCSX2 it appears on the GPU Icon next to my battery icon that I am using PCSX2 on NVIDIA.

Other games that are slow, Tekken 4 and 5.. Sometimes DragonBall Z Infinte World, but it dosen't slow down that much on that game and I still have not tried the Dragonball Z game with higher resolution than the Native one

And Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 5 is working perfectly in battles have not tried the story mode yet and tried it on Native Resolution with no slow down there Laugh

Ps: As we talk in here I am also trying to find a solution on other sites (google/youtube) Smile

EDIT: I actually experience some slow down on Naruto too down to 20fps suddenly -.-

Probably should start from scratch on the PCSX2 settings.
I have to wonder if something was inadvertently changed that is messing things.

Cause if you are trying multiple games,
using native res and applying Speedhacks,
you should definitely see something from the the hacks.
They do stuff, after all.

If you were bottlenecked by your GPU,
then hacks wouldn't help.
Your dedicated GPU should handle native res in most cases,
so it still kinda seems like your system is on a weak GPU...

Another idea is to question the behavior of your CPU.
You could check a program like CPU-Z and see what your active clockrate is during emulation.
I have seen PCSX2 get passed around all available cores,
and if yours is passed around all your cores and threads,
you could be stuck at 2.0Ghz.

Sorry we couldn't solve rhis so easilly.
I am thinking of all I can. Smile

Right,
but that's just his current.
He said he did try Speedhacks already,
so I guess it's more a question of what else may have been at the time.

I can say for sure that some games will inevitably be slow.
Like Tekken, for example,
would probably not be quite smooth with your processor's potential (2.6Ghz-2.8Ghz).

Whatever you do,
don't keep trying 1080p right off the bat.
Your GPU will not always be capable.

Keep in mind that with the latest GSdx SVNs you can select which graphics adapter to use, so that should take care of the optimus mess
