stock 2.2 runs GoW2 at 55-60 stable with an 8600GT

Laugh no thanks, I would rather play it on my PS2 and just use PCSX2 for games that run well on stock (which is all of he games I own, except for GoW2).

I did try to OC it once just for the heck of it, only got to 3.5 on the stock sink/fan before my PC refused to post. Must be the warm ambient temps (I live in a relatively warm part of the world), or my cheap mobo. My old e5200 OCs better than this one on stock cooling. I don't know if it's because of the lower FSB and higher multiplier or if I just have a poor chip right now.

i would say bad chip and previous one was quite good
