Games running in slow motion
#1
I am trying to play several games on PCSX2 1.4.0 and they run in slow motion. I get 60 fps, but still lag. Why is this, and how can I fix this?

Speedhack level 6 will turn VU cycle stealing up to level 2, which from my experience only causes more harm than good. It seems to sometimes make games run like this, where audio and the emulator's reported framerate are full speed, but under the hood processing is much slower. With your hardware I would think you don't need to run the preset that high. I would try...
  • Turning the Speedhack preset down to 2 (the default)
  • Enabling MTVU (Multi-Threaded microVU1)
If that doesn't do the trick, consider...
  • Unchecking the preset box.
  • Manually adjusting EE cyclerate downwards. If no improvement, then try upwards. If upwards makes it worse, try adding NO MORE than level 1 VU cycle stealing.

Thanks, changing the speedhacks to 3 worked.

So you can avoid using speedhacks, you could try the latest development build as when we released 1.4.0 there was a bug with the AVX plugin and Skylake CPU's which caused them to run really slow, but we have since fixed that issue

You can grab the latest development build here:
