Games wont work for a 100% - Graphical Issues?
#1
So. Today I downloaded PCSX2, and I really find it well developed, but I think I'm setting it up wrong or something. All the games I play with the emulator have some kind of graphical problem. Either its huge lags, stripes on screen, stuffs are doubled or the game only shows half top of the screen, rest is black.

I played:
Test Drive Unlimited
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Kingdom Hearts II
Bully
Midnight Club 3
007 Nightfire
Juiced 2

All have somekind of problem and are therefor unplayable.
I think my computer specs should be enaugh for this.

Nvidia Geforce GTX 670
Intel Core i7 2600k 3.40 GHZ
8GB RAM
64 bit Windows 7

So my question is, what am I doing wrong. Am I setting the settings wrong or am I using the wrong bios etc etc.

Thanks for answers.

For San Andreas I set Skipdraw Hack to 1,2 or 3. That fixes a lot. Try that with the other games. Otherwise there's Software mode (F9).
AMD Phenom II X4 975 BE OC 4.0 GHz, Corsair Hydro H70
AMD Radeon HD 6990 OC, Accelero Twin Turbo
ASUS Crosshair V Formula 990FX
OCZ Revodrive 3 X2 240 Gb
16 Gb G.Skill 1833 MHz

Nope, Skipdraw and Software Mode didnt fix anything in San Andreas.

(My problem in San Andreas is that stuff from the surroundings are doubled and faded 3 meters from where it is suppose to be. What I mean is that ex. if a lamppost is on the right side of the street. A copy of the lamppost is also slightly seen faded 3 meters to the right of it. Like a reflection or something) (See Photo)

However, F9 mode did make sence in Test Drive Unlimited. The halfscreen bug and stripes disapeared, but now it runs with 10 FPS --> Unplayable.

Those are the only games I tested this yet. Do you or anyone else have any other suggestions?

I use r5350 (PCSX2 1.0.0)

And I'm using the GSdx 5334 (MSVC 16.00, SSE41) 0.1.16 [gsdx32-sse4-r5350]

Can you post screenies of your settings? Also make sure your PC is set to high performance.

It seems that the GTA problem I had was just because of a disc problem. After copying the files over to an iso and running it that was fixed that problem.

But I still have very lag problems, which I think that I should not have with the specs I have.

By the way, should I start the software with pcsx2.exe or pcsx2-r5576.exe
Does it make any difference?

Yesterday I downloaded version 1.1 of PCSX2. It seems to be working better. Here are the screenshot.

For the Emulation Settings im just running the preset Aggressive (just changed from balanced)

Try changing the graphics plugin to the SSE4 one, your CPU should support that. Also set the resolution to 3x instead of custom to see if that helps. I do not know if those particular games are demanding to be honest. I do not own them, I will let others chime in on that.
