i think it's "heating" is causing CPU to break-down.
kindly post your temperatures via coretemp..

I recorded 45 second clips of Core Temp running; this one without enabling the fans' max speed, and this one with them at full speed. There's a small 10% speed increase with the fans at full speed, yet I wasn't really counting on having them like this the whole time, since they consume more power this way...

Well, I'm getting 80% speed with temperatures below 75ºC, so it seems to me that there's more to this problem than CPU temperature.

still EE around 100% ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 RAM : 16 Go
Okay, so I think I did it. I have no idea how it's working, but it is! With preset 3, EE Cyclerate = -1, and Turbo Adjust = 100% and Enabled (this part leaves me puzzled), I get smooth playing (at least when there's lots of background items like in the example I gave in the beginning). EE still at 60-80%, CPU and GPU at ~25%. I'll keep playing and hopefully combat scenes are as smooth as this. If anyone knows how Turbo Adjust at 100% is any different of normal playing, let me know.
