Ghosting? in Shadow of Rome
#1
Hello everyone,

I'm just getting started with using PCSX2 to revive some games from my old PS2. The problem is that with Shadow of Rome I have a problem that I don't know if it's Ghosting and I think it has an easy solution, but I can't find the appropriate setting to modify.

The game looks to me like the screenshot I just uploaded, it's as if the image "folded".

Do you know what can cause it?

I'm using PCSX2 1.7 AVX2-QT (I tried to with 1.6).
DirectX 11,12, OpenGL and Vulkan.
Desinterlacing: Automatic (although I have tried with all).

I am sure that by modifying some option I can correct this ghosting effect.

Thank you!!

I have similar issues when upscaling the game. Some of these issues were not present in 1.6.0, but that version of pcsx2 wouldn't render all the post-processing effects.
Flames are sometimes misaligned

There is some light ghosting in certain areas

This specific area has vertical lines on the screen (I couldn't replicate it anywhere else)

Also, light from the windows seems to be misaligned as well

This type of blurring/ghosting happens in some games when upscaling.

You could try the specific combination of settings mentioned on the PCSX2 wiki's Shadow of Rome page and see if they help reduce the blurring:
