I downloaded a pack (pre-made) pcsx2, with plugins, etc. I am trying to run GoW II but get disorted audio and a flashing on Kratos that is unplayable.

Start by deleting that crap, and download from pour official site.
We dont support unofficial builds
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go
