I am at the scene after fighting the barbarian king. The screen keeps on loading.

Might be a problem with your CDVD plugin. IIRC older revisions of the CDVD plugins did not support dual layer reading.

God of War is a dual layer DVD game, so it could be that. Some other games like Rogue Galaxy use dual layer DVD also.

Get a more recent revision of Linuz ISO maybe. I have some links in my signature for newer ones that work with dual layer games.
